Personable and Understanding
I understand that each student has a unique learning style and study habits, and how difficult it can be to receive the one-on-one support they need in the classroom. That’s why I cater my tutoring services to the particular needs and circumstances of each individual. I require prior notice about topics to be studied so I can refresh my memory. This allows an effective 60 minutes to be spent and no time waste.
Qualified
I have a high level of experience and proficiency in math topics up until Calculus 1. Having completed a B.S. in Mathematics, I have studied higher level math and completed many college level math courses. After my B.S. I immediately acquired a M.A. in education before teaching high school for 6 years. On top of that, I am outgoing, empathetic, and caring. This combination of math skills and personal skills are the foundation that makes me a great teacher!
Engaging
I am a well-rounded individual. Mathematicians have a reputation of being boring and old.... I am neither of those things! I enjoy weightlifting, reading, listening to a wide variety of music, and playing video games in my spare time. If you ask me about any of those things I could go on for hours. My dog Finn can be an occasional companion for us depending on our meeting location as well!
